Thank you so much, Lou. It felt like a weight Iβd been carrying for a long time that I wanted to figure out how to put words to. I really appreciate you taking the time to read.
Thank you Charli, feel like I can finally breathe easy now Iβve started writing again. Get ready for the WhatsApp group to start lighting up with my insecurities!
Emily- I am so grateful for thisβ it is gorgeous and I am using the word holy holistically again to describe your work because it is. This is a peak into the mysteries where many of us cannot or do not go and it feels like one of those Dutch paintings where the nativity glows on a dark background making everything bathed with that light numinousβ gauze, the gown, the baby blanket- and by viewing/ reading it, we glow brighter too. Just stunningly beautiful.
You know, I meant when I said I didn't have any idea how it would turn out. But if I got even close to that scene - that glowing nativity - then perhaps my brain and my fingertips are whispering to each other. You are so generous, always, and I'm incredibly grateful you took the time to read. I'm learning all the time (alongside you and from you! which is the best fun!) and there are many improvements to make but if I don't start somewhere then I can't do that. Thank you thank you thank you.
This is such a beautiful piece of writing that I was compelled to read it twice. Sending good two-magpie thoughts your way π
Thank you, Katie. I appreciate your kind words so much and am always grateful for you taking the time to read.
The penultimate paragraph is so beautifully written. It made my heart ache!
